A pasture rich property we are continuously maintaining pasture programs in order to maintain both soil quality and sheep quality. Gullendah has a good fertilizer history. Soils on Gullendah are predominaltly granite based with sandy loam throughout. Timber across the properties consist of white box, yellow box, gum, ironbark and cyprus.
With the country mostly undulating with good loamy creek flats. Gullendah is 60% pasture improved and 40% native grass country with clover. The improved pastures consist of Cocksfoot, Phallaris, Sub clovers and Lucerne.
With an average annual rainfall of 700mm and temperatures ranging as low as -7 degrees Celsius during winter and as high as 45 degrees Celsius in summer, the extremes are experienced.
